We know how important your submissions and works are to you. Please note that Liftoff Press will not respond to your unsolicited submission unless we are interested in its publication. Submissions will be recycled so please only submit your work once.

  • The first 10 pages of your manuscript, double-spaced, Times Roman, 12 point type.
  • Your contact information and publishing history (if relevant)

Please save trees and some change, do not include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your submission. We will only respond if interested in publishing your work.

Please be sure to retain a copy of your submission.

You will not hear from Liftoff Press regarding the status of your submission unless we are interested in it, in which case you can expect a reply from us within approximately six months. We regret that we cannot respond personally to each submission, but please note that we make every effort to consider and evaluate each and every pieces of work we receive.

Also Please keep in mind the following when submitting your work for consideration by Liftoff Press:

  • Submissions are best received via snail mail but email is acceptable
  • Never send cassettes, CDs, marketing plans, or original artwork.
  • Please mail only one manuscript at a time and never send your original or only copy.
  • Because confirmation postcards are easily separated from or hidden within the manuscript, please do not include them with your submission.
  • Please refrain from calling, faxing, or e-mailing to inquire after the status of an unsolicited submission, as we will be unable to assist you. If you have not received a reply from us after six months, please assume that we are not interested in publishing your work. Chin up, don’t give up and remember Theodor Seuss Geisel’s first book was rejected by possibly as many as 43 publishers before a chance encounter opened the door for him. The right idea, story or publisher is out there and it might just be around your next corner.

In receiving a submission, we respect copyright laws and will not use your original work without permission of the author and or artist.
